Directories

Directories

(Directory Setup in Gens)

Before you start setting up your Directories, I really suggest you grab our Directories Folder from downloads we put together for you containing all the sub folders you are going to need to configure the Directories Dialog via the Options/Directories. This way it would save you having all these loose files all over your Root Folder as Gens does not come with them or auto makes them on selection that path within the Dialog. (very messy) Once you have downloaded the Zip, place it in your Gens Root Folder and then right click on it and Select the Extract here option. You will now have a Directories Folder in there with all the sub sections needed for a Clean Root.

Click on Option/Directories to open the Directories Configuration Dialog. On the SAVE STATE Section click on the Change Button and it should open to your Gens Root Folder. If it hasn't then search for it Via the Drop Down Bar on the Search Function. Once you can see the Directories Folder, click on it and then click on the Save Folder and click Save.

You will now be in the Save Folder, click on the Save Button to save that as your Save Directory and it will take you back to the Directories Configuration Dialog.

Now click on the other sections Change Buttons and use the Picture above as the Guide as to what goes where. Remember like the Picture above that WAV = the Dump Folder. Once you have configured each correctly, click the OK button to return you to the main Gens Exe.

Bios/Misc Files

Set up your bios files via Options/Misc/Bios/Misc: Files to Open the Files Configuration Dialog.

Click on M68000 on the Configure 32x bios files Section and it will show the file it needs on the File name once the M68000 32x bios files Dialog opens (shown above)

Next Click on Master SH2 on the Configure 32x bios files Section and it will show the file it needs on the File name once the Master SH2 32x bios files Dialog opens. Once you have Completed the 32X BIOS and SegaCD BIOS Sections Configuration, the end result should look like the Picture Above.
